How to Remove Third-Party Logins (Sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple)
Many of the removal guides on this site mention third-party logins. If you signed up for a site using “Sign in with Google/Facebook/Apple,” deleting your profile on that site does not cut off its access to your account — you have to revoke it separately. Do this any time you delete an account, and periodically as a general clean-up.
- Go to myaccount.google.com/connections.
- Review every app and site listed.
- Click any you no longer use and choose Delete all connections / remove access.
- Open Facebook Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites.
- Select the apps you want to cut off and click Remove.
- Tick the option to delete posts and activity the app published as you.
Apple
- On iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Sign in with Apple.
- Tap an app and choose Stop using Apple ID.
- On the web: appleid.apple.com → Sign-In and Security → Sign in with Apple.
Microsoft, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, GitHub
Each keeps the same kind of list under account security or privacy settings — look for “apps,” “connected accounts,” or “authorized applications” and revoke what you don’t recognize.
Why this matters
A revoked connection stops future data sharing, but it does not delete data the app already collected. Delete the account on the app’s own site first (use our directory), then revoke the login here.
