Unfortunately, it’s not possible to delete your account on Slashdot. The reason is unclear. In their FAQ (http://slashdot.org/faq/accounts.shtml): ‘can I delete my account?’

“You can’t. The system needs to keep track of the users, so accounts are permanent.”

That’s no excuse, not even for a nerd!
