How to remove yourself from Handshake

Handshake profiles are tied to your university and visible to employers and sometimes other students.

1. Settings → Privacy → set your profile to private first.
2. Request account deletion via Handshake support — alumni accounts often cannot self-delete.
3. Ask your university career centre whether they can remove the linked record.
